he LNG marketplace has changed rapidly due to a convergence of events including
low oil prices, new LNG export terminals coming online and the shale gas revolution
in the US. LNG prices have dropped significantly. New ‘traditional’ large scale LNG
export facilities face hurdles including overall cost and securing offtake of large capacity
increments. There is much controversy as to the designs of small or mid scale facilities, in
regards to meeting cost, performance and incremental capacity ‘sweet spots’.
